EGGS TO BABY

Once the eggs are fertilized and the eggs are matured, the female lays her eggs. The mother has to take care of her unborn children because the elements, predators or parasites can harm them. The Scytodes and the Pholcus (daddy longleg) use the simplest form. They carry their children in loose bundles with them. They can do that because they live indoors and are not threatened by the weather. Other species like the wolf spiders put their eggs in a sac of silk and attach the sac behind their body. After their children are born, the female carries them for a while on her abdomen.
Many other species put their eggs in a sac of silk and guard them until the youngsters emerge. Often she will care for her youngsters until she dies. Among some species, the children eat the mother. Some Araneidae guard their eggs until the mother dies in the autumn. The eggs stay unattended until they hatch the following spring.

FOOD

Spiders are carnivorous arachnids that have eight legs. There are many people who suffer from arachnophobia and feel creepy crawlies over their skin the minute they spot a spider. They are the favorite insects of Garfield, the lazy cat that loves to swat them with newspapers. Many spiders are venomous and a bite may be fatal (or turn you into Spiderman!). Have you ever wondered what do spiders eat? Lets know more about the amazing spiders.

The red back

The black in color Redback spiders live everywhere throughout the Australian continent. Female Redback spiders are with a very apparent red or orange stripe that is visible on the back of the spider. The female Redback spider is dangerous and almost always connected to human deaths. Redback spider bites cause severe pain at the site of the bite and cause other symptoms to include: sweating, muscular weakness, vomiting, and nausea. Redback spider venom is a neurotoxin that affects the neurotransmitters causing there depletion. The Redback spider has caused several reported deaths of bitten human beings but none have died since the release of an antivenom. Over 250 bites receive antivenom treatment each year with many more cases most likely go unreported
